The Village at West Springs is the final development in the established community of West Springs Farm. Located in Calgary's highly sought-after west side, West Springs Farm is an old-fashioned neighbourhood in the new community of West Springs. West Springs Farm offers something for everyone, from lovely single-family homes to maintenance free attached homes, and now townhomes in The Village at West Springs.

Each purchaser in the Village at West Springs becomes a member of the West Springs Farm Homeowners' Association.

The primary purpose of the West Springs Farm Homeowners' Association is to provide all single and multi-family property owners in the community with the opportunity to have some direct control over enhanced maintenance standards in the area. Examples of items requiring maintenance are: entry signage, landscaping and irrigation, fencing, and upgraded street lighting.

Through the Association, property owners have the opportunity to determine the standard of maintenance of these items. The cost of maintenance is paid by residents through the collection of an HOA fee. The City, in its usual course of business, will also fund some of these costs. A good example is grass cutting on boulevard areas. Enhanced maintenance is funded by the Association rather than by the City. The annual Association fee to all West Springs Farm residents is $100 per year.

In the case of The Village at West Springs, the annual fee is covered as part of monthly condo fees which are later turned over to the West Springs Farm Homeowners' Association. The Association initially will be comprised of Landstar Development Corp. representatives and willing residents. Eventually Landstar will turn over the Association to be managed entirely by the residents.

Should you have any questions about the Association, please feel free to call the Landstar office at 403-233-0608.
